A Message From Our Pastor

It's the thought that counts...

It seems almost assured that at least once this season you will either hear or say this phrase.  Sometimes it is even true. When a child gives you a handmade gift and you have no idea what it is or what you are supposed to do with it, but You look down and see their smile and you know the love that went into it, that is when, yes it is the thought that counts.

On the other hand when your husband hands you a funnel and a road map he picked up on Christmas Eve at the gas station and says “Hey, it’s the thought that counts.” Maybe then the statement isn’t so true!

Our love for one another is revealed by our actions more than just by our thoughts or even our words.  Thankfully, God chose to not just think about us but to show His love for us through the action of sending us His Son on A Christmas day so many years ago.  This year we will gather for fun - maybe even some frivolity - for fellowship and most importantly for worship. As we do so let us remember that it is more than the thought that counts...

I invite you to join us on Sunday, December 22nd at 10:45 am as we discover that when God gave us His Son he also gave us hope, peace, joy. and love - all in the person of Jesus Christ.

Hope to see you there and Merry Christmas!

God Bless!

Pastor Johnathon Powell

Sunday, December 22nd

Small Groups at 10:00 am

Worship at 10:45 am

Morning worship begins with our choir leading us in Christmas carols, with everyone encouraged to join in.  Then it is our fun-filled Christmas play “It's The Thought That Counts???” followed by a brief message from Pastor Johnathon along with a reading of the Christmas story. Immediately afterward we will have a time of fun celebration in our fellowship hall with food, a scavenger hunt for the kids, white elephant game for the adults and maybe a few surprises! No evening service.

Everyone is welcome! Invite your friends!
